Steam leaks are abnormal but can occur due to many reasons. If steam leaks it will migrate within a boiler cabinet and condense. Water forming on electronics is a serious operational and safety concern. Reimers has a solution to avoid trouble. Flexible grommets seal wires that pass to steam piping areas. The design upgrade is a result of listening to advise from customers on how to make a better boiler.   The photo shows the dry surfaces in the control area after having an intentional steam leak in the adjoining steam piping area.  Reimers is reviewing usage of the seals in other boiler designs at Reimers.
