Blowdown is a must for proper maintenance. It is a way of releasing the internal sediments that damage heating elements and erode steel. Reimers designs all boilers to have a lower port made for releasing the sediments in an automatic way that does not affect operation and does it safely. Timing is field adjustable to prevent worker down-time. Reimers tanks mate with the boiler to receive the sediments and water in an enclosed, quiet, safe manner. Draining is available automatically too. Controls on the tank release the water when it is code compliant.
