When energy surges are not desired Reimers offers the ability to step in power and make turndown as finite as desired. As little as a couple kw per hour is possible through SCR limiting relays. The set point is monitored and when the actual value falls low enough the energy is resumed to reach the setpoint again. If the load is increased on the boiler the power input is ramped up to offset the demand. The other value in the SCR is that the power is silently provided, no chatter of relays, no burners coming on and off.
