Tanks are designed to be of various sizes to match the boiler or boilers they are attached to. Since only a portion of the boiler water is released the tank can be much smaller than the boiler vessel. At Reimers the tanks are built of heavy steel under ASME guidelines. Tanks are labeled or plated to allow inspection of manufacturing date, the manufacturer, and model number. Reimers offers tanks that can be vented and others that are intended to be closed, or not vented. Unvented models save piping costs to run venting through floors and roof. Reimers has an AutoDrain package where customers do not have to manually inspect the tank and release the contained fluid.
